The Benefits of Physi
-
POISE & POSTURE - Posture is the key element in all choreography. At class, students are taught how to use their body to improve their posture focusing on core strength.
-
BALANCE, COORDINATION & FLEXIBILITY - Routines consist of lateral movements, balances and various stretches. These controlled movements are incorporated into the choreography, designed to enhance coordination, body strength and flexibility.
-
MUSICAL AWARENESS & DANCE- Routines and dances are choreographed to age appropriate music, teaching students about timing and working to the beat of a set piece of music.
-
CONFIDENCE - Through performance, both competitive (optional) and non competitive, girls increase their self-confidence. The Club aims to provide a nurturing environment with all classes taught in a positive and encouraging manner.
-
COMPETITION - The School offers several opportunities for girls to compete locally and at State level. The Club believes in the benefits of healthy competition and all girls are encouraged to participate in one or more of the scheduled events throughout the year. Learning to be gracious in victory and defeat is something that is highly valued and becomes a focus at class leading up to competition time.
-
TEAMS - From age 7 (or younger if capable), girls have the opportunity to compete in team events, where they learn about the importance of hard work and commitment to others, whilst experiencing the joy of team spirit.
-
FRIENDSHIP AND FUN - The Club attracts members from many surrounding suburbs and many life long friendships have been formed through physi. Family-friendly events are scheduled throughout the year and in 2011 hosted our first "physi-camp" at Del Rio Resort, Wisemans Ferry
